Registration is valid for Lot 8 only. The Courtyards at UMD, in partnership with University of Maryland Department of Transportation Services (UMD DOTS), utilizes digital License Plate Recognition; no physical permits are distributed. Unregistered vehicles will be ticketed. Parking is not permitted in 10a or CY signed spaces. Temporary permits are not available. Each resident may only possess one (1) Lot 8 permit. If you are a resident of a state that does not have a front license plate you must pull into the parking spot front first so that the back license plate can be scanned. Parking policies do not change for holiday breaks. When you check-out of CTY your vehicle will no longer be in UMD DOTS database and are eligible for citations. The vehicle registration address and driver's license address must match or the vehicle registration last name and drivers license last name must match. Vehicles will not be registered without these qualifications. If you do receive a parking citation from UMD DOTS you must appeal the citation directly with them. Any damages or loss that occur to your vehicle or its contents while parked at The Courtyards at UMD is your responsibility. The Courtyards at UMD cannot and does not assume responsibility for any such damages to your vehicle, theft of the vehicle, or any part of the vehicle, or loss of personal articles from the vehicle. Erratic driving, speeding, etc. can/will result in a conduct meeting and may/will impact your ability to park at The Courtyards at UMD.
